Previously on filmscreed....

My commentary on Ace in The Hole from Dec 5/2006

My "Moments of Distinction" on Sunset Boulevard from Jan 31/2007

And a couple of new contributions:

Jeremy Mathews at The Same Dame on trying to buy Double Indemnity at his local retail giant. ( You have to love a blog that takes its name from a Preston Sturges film!)

Bob Westal at Forward to Yesterday gives us a piece on the moral ambiguity of many of Wilder's heroes. This is from a blogger that I was previouly unaware of, and it's absolutely terrific. Check it out, by all means.

I've just posted my thoughts on the Academy and The Lost Weekend. I figured I might just fit in before the buzzer.

Stennie - Great, great post. That theme has been mentioned a couple of times on this blog-a-thon, and it really maes me want to go back and look at some of these films again. I'm really glad you touched on The Apartment, BTW

Thanks, Jeff -- it's my first blog-a-thon, and I figured it was best to stick with what I know. Lots of fun, thanks for hosting it. I've enjoyed reading what others have to say.
